HI πŸ‘‹πŸ» AND WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE

Updated February 2024

Time has really flown by lately, hasn’t it? I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. As we approach March, it seems like the perfect opportunity for longer walks with the improving weather.

During December to February, I tend to stick to shorter walks and revisit some of the routes I’ve already shared on the blog. It’s a chance for me to enjoy the walks without thinking about documenting them.

On another note, I’ve been busy sorting through all the photos and videos from our trip back in October 2023. It took me a while to figure out the best way to share everything, but I’m nearly finished now. I’m excited to share the experience with you all soon and hope it inspires you to embark on your own adventures.

Looking ahead, I’m eager to share more walks throughout this year. We have a trip abroad planned, which we arranged way back in 2021. It’s amazing how time flies, isn’t it? I’m sure there will be plenty of new walks to discover there.

Here’s to a fantastic 2024! πŸ₯Ύ

Updated December 2022

I hope you have enjoyed the walks I have managed to fit in this year of 2022. I have managed to squeeze a lot more walks in with family and friends this year who were able to join me, and also help with some planning. I am so grateful I am able to do these stunning walks as it has certainly helped me a great deal with my mental and physical health, I really do hope it will help you in some way.

In 2023 I am planning on more walks, more adventurous hikes/challenges, maybe a few abroad.

On a more serious note, I am planning to share a personal experience I had with a fully ruptured Achilles tendon in my right leg. At the time, I thought that I would never be able to enjoy activities such as walking again. With support, patience, persistence and training I was able to recover from my injury and be able to do and continue enjoying walking and hiking.

Throughout my recovery, I documented my progress from start to finish. My hope is that by sharing my story, it will offer encouragement and inspiration to others who may be going through a similar injury or recovery process. I believe that with the right mindset, support, and hard work, anyone can overcome their challenges and regain their strength and mobility.

Stay tuned for my upcoming sharing of my recovery journey, and may it bring hope and motivation to those in need.

Thank you for reading, hope you all have a Happy New Year and 2023 will bring many more adventures πŸ₯Ύ

Updated April 2022

It is time to get on with some more walks this year, with the weather picking up and losing an hour in the UK but gaining more sunlight, nature awaits.

I have just completed 2 walks and they will soon be posted for your pleasure. Hopefully there will be many more to come this year… enjoy πŸ₯Ύ

Updated April 2021

It has been a while since the last walk in Oct 2020. I have been ill with long covid and the recent loss of my beloved mum, it has been difficult for me to get back into the swing of things. However, as I know mum loved the walks, I know she would have wanted me to carry on.

I am dedicating my website to my mum who passed away in Jan 2021 from Thrombosis. Mum enjoyed walking a lot and I am so proud of her as she completed some of these walks with us.

To help raise awareness of Thrombosis, please help by donating here to support Thrombosis UK charity.

I hope you enjoy the walks blogged here and there will be more to come.

Thank you so much for your support, I appreciate it very much.

Now lets get moving… πŸ₯²

The reason I created this website is to hopefully help to motivate you, to share and enjoy the breath-taking views I have experienced in the many walks I have taken with my family and friends. This helps me remember which walks I have done too πŸ˜‰

I usually go on a planned walk with family and/or friends at least once a month if not more to get together (I have to say it’s hard work getting everyone together as we all have our busy lives to lead but well worth the effort), we catch-up and enjoy the scenery at the same time.  The great thing is – it is FREE to do, there are so many amazing places to visit so close to every one of us.  The more places I visit the more I am determined to set a goal for myself to walk as many different places as I can during my lifetime and share the experiences with you.

I hope you enjoy the short videos, photos and blog, hopefully encourage you to visit and enjoy these places too.

Last of all I would like to thank you for visiting, I really appreciate your support.

β€œTaking steps towards a better you” πŸ™‚

I have also included some useful information on each walk which will hopefully help you.

Includes some of the following:

  • Total Distance of the route
  • Highest Point of the walk
  • Total Time taken
  • Car parking
  • Toilets
  • Map of the area with the route taken
  • Photos and short videos
  • Description / Experience
  • Food places
  • Links to helpful websites
  • Any additional information you might find useful
